How it all started
www.stripwalking.org was created in 2022 by two Vegas-loving Nebraskans, Geoff & Mike, who were trying to find YouTube videos of people walking between very specific Las Vegas locations. Not having any luck, the idea for www.stripwalking.org was born.
Our story
What they came up with was an interactive map that lets someone choose two locations and walk them using POV videos&. think Google street view only with videos. After starting with the Vegas Strip, they realized it would be easy to expand their idea to other locations. Soon they had walking websites for:
- Disneyland in California
- Universal Orlando Resort (Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure Theme Parks)
- Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, MO
- Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo.
The great thing about the www.stripwalking.org interactive maps is they can be used for several purposes:
- People planning a trip
- People at a location trying to get directions or figure out travel time
- People far away who may never actually be able to visit the location, but can still feel as if they are there by exploring the map and watching the videos
There is already a growling list of future locations to add to the www.stripwalking.org lineup including:
- Mount Rushmore, South Dakota
- Major Airports including Harry Reid International in Las Vegas
- Camelback Mountain, AZ

Our approach
Instead of simply making a whole bunch of videos walking between two specific locations, trying to guess what someone might like to see, we wanted to let the website user set the start and end point. By strategically cutting all the videos we shoot, we can display them in the proper sequence to represent the route the user chooses. The end result was the user can choose from thousands of start and end locations and see exactly what the best route is to walk between the two points as well as POV videos of what the walk looks like.
